Git Integration for Jira Cloud Documentation

GIJ Standard vs Advanced

Last updated: March 2026

Git Integration for Jira (GIJ) Advanced is a higher-tier edition designed for organizations that need greater indexing performance, reduced maintenance, and enhanced monitoring capabilities. Product and Engineering teams use the Advanced edition to monitor risks and consistently meet deadlines. Advanced edition users also benefit from higher configuration limits for repositories.

Standard vs Advanced Usage Limits

Usage Limits Standard Advanced
Total Connected Repositories 200 30k*
Total Commits 300k 15 Million*
Daily Indexing Triggers 5K 25K*
Daily Webhook Indexing Events 2K 10K*

*If your organization requires usage limits beyond the Advanced Edition, contact our Customer Success team at [email protected].

Active enforcement of GIJ Standard limits will begin on May 16th, 2026. If you are over your repository limits and are still on a Standard plan, you will need to either disconnect repositories until you get under the 200 limit, or upgrade to the GIJ Advanced plan. Starting on May 17th, indexing will be stopped for any repositories over 200, starting with repositories with lowest number of commits. The 200 repositories with the highest number of commits will continue to be indexed as normal. On June 12th, any remaining repositories over 200 will be disconnected automatically.
